EA have just announced that a brand new Adidas promo will be starting on Friday, November 12th at 6pm UK time, but what exactly can we expect to see from these new cards?
If we take a look at the Adidas Promo loading screen, we can see a number of small clues hinting at what upgrades we're likely to see. The image includes the word "NUMBERSUP" which is likely the real name for this new promotion. Secondly, the image includes the names of 3 types of football boots and 3 corresponding 99 rated stats. These are:
This would likely mean that a player's upgraded stats are determined by what type of boots they wear in real life. This could also mean that there will be no 99 upgrades for Shooting, Defending, or Physical stats. This is also backed up by the information available on the Adidas website.
To prepare for the new promo, we can take a look at some Adidas players and what boots they wear to try and figure out what cards we're likely to see.
Taking a look at this list, we can expect some very good cards to be released, especially those wearing the Speedflow (X) boots that will be receiving the 99 pace upgrade. We can most likely exclude Salah from this list as we're expecting his EPL Player of the Month card to be released, but there are still some high-profile names including Messi, Son, and Benzema that could be getting a huge pace upgrade.
We do not yet know how these players will be getting their 99 stats. It is possible that the cards are initially released with a select 99 rated stat, however, its more likely that we will be seeing some sort of new LIVE card or even a card similar to Ultimate Scream cards that we have seen in the past where their 99 rated stat changes throughout the year.
So far there are a few players who are confirmed to be getting one of these brand new Adidas Promo cards, including João Félix and Giovanni Reyna. Which player would you most like to see receive an upgrade?
