FIFA 22 Ultimate team will have redesigned card designs, just like we do every year. There are also going to be some brand new cards which should be very interesting to see.
New expected card designs:
Inform mini card design has been revealed by EA Sports as a pre order benefit. This large card design has been made to show how it could look on a full card. It is a very good concept but still only a recreation so the actual card design may slightly be different.
Red FUT Champions card is simply a red version of the inform card so it looks like this is what it could look like. Lots of changes are rumored to have been made in FIFA 22 but we still can assume red champs cards will be used in rewards.
Gold Rare card looks like it is going to have a very interesting pattern that is unique to anything we have seen in the past. This card looks amazing when a player is on it with stats.
Ones to watch card looks quite ambitious but still well executed. It fits into the modern futuristic style that EA sports are going with from the looks of their branding of FIFA 22.
We know that monthly Player of the month SBCs in Ultimate team are extremely exciting because it allows the community to vote for their favourite player and then complete new SBCs.
For EA to release POTM SBCs for a certain league they first need the rights and licenses to do so. Rumours have begun of a potential Serie A POTM SBC starting in October because EA are now partners according to various different images.
If this is true then it would mean Serie A will also receive monthly POTM SBCs adding to the growing list.
UEFA Europa Conference League is a new annual competition that is going to be held by UEFA. It is the 3rd tier of European football and we will see it first take place towards the end of 2021 which is the start of FIFA 22. EA of course have exclusive rights to all UEFA competitions so this will be a new feature in FIFA 22 also confirmed by EA Sports.
Definetly expect this to be seen in Kick Off and career mode because that is the fundamental basis of utilizing the resources that EA is paying for. Ultimate Team is also likely to include Europa Conference League cards and part of the RTTF promo just like we currently have with Champions League and Europa league cards.
Confirmed fully by EA Sports and hugely advertised: FUT Heroes. The concept of the card is something we have never seen before but the card design doesn't really represent that too much.
Perhaps EA wanted to keep this separate from Icons which is definitely what they have done but is there that special feeling about these cards that there is with Icons cards? We will have to wait and see...
